ISS update and after funeral pictures


In ISS news.

William Mcaurthur has been real active on voice During his LUNCH time on the International Space Station. Although this time falls around 7 am USA central time which as time goes by will not allow him to make USA contacts as the orbit of the ISS changes everyday. So, unless you like listening to EVERY pass or send/ recieving packet thats about all your going to hear. I sent out for a ISS qsl card last saturday and anixously awaiting its arrival.


Grandmas funeral update:

The funeral for Granda ma LOLA " Lola Mae Monroe Portenier" as it was listed went well as far as i could tell. 6 of us grandsons were Paulberrers Myself, Dean shotsman, Davis shotsman, Scott, Uncle franks' 2 boys......( sorry im not sure of their names I think one of their name is also Scott ). Here is what the obitaries read

Lola Mae Monroe Portenier, 83, Lincoln, died Saturday (10/22/05). Born, March 2, 1922, Norcatur, Kan., to Jesse and Lizzie E. Bowman. Member, Piedmont Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lincoln; Ladies Auxiliary 1273; Lancaster Manor Bell Choir.Survivors: daughter, Maxine White, Gering; sons, Donald L. Callaway, Topeka, Kan., Franklin A. Callaway, Pratt, Kan.; daughters, Lola Marie Schwerin, Surprise, Betty Tendrich, Ruth Shotsman, both Lincoln; son, Steven A. Monroe, Sioux City, Iowa; 31 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jay A. Bowman, Hutchinson, Kan.; numerous nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by daughter, Joyce A. Callaway; parents; three brothers; one sister; three granddaughters; husbands, Fred Callaway, Roy R. Monroe, Sam Portenier.Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation: noon-8 p.m. today, funeral home.
